First Test Of Binocular Setup

Introducing my binocular setup for astrophotography.

I expected a small amount of movement but the structure was surprisingly rigid! I was also able to get my phone attached correctly on the first attempt!

Even when attached to the tripod, it was very stable. Tracking using the tripod was extremely smooth with negligible shaking (a good omen).

Taken at minimum magnification.
As you can see, it's not 20/20. There is a slight haze which is quite noticeable, especially towards the horizon.
Look closely though, at the centre of the picture above and you will see a grey smudge.

Taken at full magnification.

Despite the haze, I was able to focus quite well on the far-away structure (I believe it's a water tower) and even fine details are visible!

Summary.
I'm extremely pleased with this test run of my phone, binoculars, the adaptors and the tripod. I particularly like how I can carry and adjust the setup with ease. I WILL be using this setup for astrophotography as soon as there's a clear night sky.
