Learning And Fine Tuning.

Whilst I'm awaiting clear skies, I'm practicing using my phone attachment to take pics under difficult conditions. This will really help me when it comes to using the setup "for real'.

As you can see from the following pics, the setup is more than capable of capturing detail. These were all taken just after sunset, facing West, on a foggy evening in late December.

Below is the phone adaptor which I'm using. It's made by Celestron and is simple to set up once you have practiced a few times. It's a sturdy build, is rigid and produces a steady image. It IS described as a universal mount but I found that it caught on the volume button of my Pixel 7a. This was easily remedied by putting a thin strip of foam along the bottom of the clamp that attaches to the telescope lens housing.
